Elbow Support Goode Wraps --- reduce pain, swelling and stiffness
associated with Lateral Epicondylitis -
Lateral Humeral Epicondylar Inflammation

TENNIS ELBOW TREATMENT - ELBOW PAIN - ELBOW SUPPORT- TENDONITIS

The key to Goode Wraps is the rare-earth semi-conductors used in the patented massage cones for the elbow to relieve pain by relaxing muscles and reducing stress on tendons.

To whom it may concern:

I suffered from "tennis elbow" for several months as a consequence of repetitive stress injuries from working in my garden.  Massage and icepacks only seemed to worsen the pain.  I am also currently being treated for a problem which preclude the use of oral anti inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen or aspirin.  I found out about your product during an internet search on lateral humeral epicondylar inflammation.  I wore the Goode Wrap continuously for 7 days and by day 2, the pain was significantly reduced.  Now I wear the elbow wrap only at night and I remain pain free 2 weeks later.  I admit to being skeptical when I first learned of your product.  Now I am a satisfied customer grateful for your excellent product.

Sincerely, David M. DVM

Eric Sanders, Professional Football Player.
"I first used the elbow wrap seven days after undergoing elbow surgery for a serious nerve condition in my right elbow. By this time there was considerable swelling in the joint area and lower arm. Twenty-four hours after applying the elbow wrap, I noticed a significant reduction in both swelling and pain in my elbow and the surrounding area. I am convinced that the elbow wrap that I applied had some direct involvement in reducing the pain swelling in my arm. Actually, I believe that if I had this wrap immediately after undergoing surgery, the effects would have been even more dramatic."

Good Ju-Ju
I have reduced my right forearm extensor and right triceps tendon pain from excruciating to not-so=bad through use of the Goode Wraps.  I can't  take it through scientific method, but it sure works.   Bruce M.

Within a one-year period, one out of every three tennis players will have an injury.  Out of every three of these injuries, one will involve the elbow.  Of all the injuries that occur in the elbow, Lateral Epicondylitis - not because only tennis players get the problem, but because the backhand swing in tennis is a common activity that can cause the problem.  There are many other activities that can result in lateral epicondylitis - such as painting with a brush or roller or using many types of hand tools continuously.  Each of these activities use the same muscles and can result in "tennis elbow" when these muscles are overused. Goode Wraps relieves pain, swelling and stiffness by relaxing the muscles.

Clinical Pain Study

Excerpts from Pain Study (tennis elbow or epicondylitis included) being prepared for publication by a large Western University

A group of 32 injury victims were selected from two locations. One a pain clinic where the injuries ranged from sports trauma to falls, tennis elbow and two "old injuries acting up." The other location was an athletic training center at a large Western University during basketball, volleyball, and track seasons. The injuries involved were strains, sprains, and trauma from falls, etc. There were no broken bones or deep cuts.

All subjects were required to sign a consent form in order to join the study, however, neither the subject nor the trainer/nurse/physician knew whether red or blue was experimental or control. Each subject was asked—and agreed—not to ingest any type of analgesic or other pain medication nor obtain any other methods of treatment for their injury while participating in this study.

Results - the perceived levels of pain were calculated by subtracting the perceived level at each reporting time from the original perception:

  • Thirty minutes - all control group subjects felt worse or no change. 31% of the treatment groups felt somewhat better. Significance of .024.
  • Two hours - control group subjects continued to feel worse or the same. 56% of treatment group felt significant improvement. Significance is .003.
  • 24 hours - 25% of control had some improvement. 63% of treatment group had significant improvement.
  • Three days - 30% of control group had slight improvement. 88% of treatment group had moderate to great improvement.
  • Seven days - 33% of control group subjects had again slight improvement. 91% of treatment group subjects had great to total improvement. Significance is .004.

What are Goode Wraps?

They are elasticized compression shorts or sports wraps.  Each of these is impregnated with a unique blend of natural rare earth semiconductors.  Goode Wraps are available for the hip, groin, foot, ankle, knee, elbows, and wrist.  In fact, the semiconductors can be added to almost any cloth like material.

What are they used for?

Primarily to control pain, swelling and stiffness.  They are ideal for tired aching muscles or joints from sporting activity, exercise and repetitive stress injuries.  The Goode Wraps help the muscles regain strength and prevent or lessen the sharp pain in joints from tendon stress.

In reality, pain in the elbow joint can be nothing more serious than referred pain from myofascial trigger points (tiny contraction knots) in the muscles of the arm or back. Even when an elbow joint has suffered a verifiable physical injury, trigger points in associated muscles always contribute a major part of the pain.  Referred pain can be every bit as intense and debilitating as pain from a damaged joint.

Some researchers suspect that trigger points may actually be the root cause of true osteoarthritis and other kinds of joint deterioration. This is because muscles afflicted with trigger points become shortened and stiff. When this happens, even normal movement puts undue strain on muscle attachments at the joints, which can eventually result in damage to connective tissue and distortion of the joints themselves.

Is there anything similar on the market?

Not in the United States.  Only in Japan and Belgium.  Goode Wraps are the first products of this type to be made available here and the process is patented in Japan and the United States.

No Magnets, Chemicals or Drugs.

Additional Benefits from Power Compression Shorts
Improve Athletic Ability and Reduce Injury

It has been proven throughout the research at Penn State Center for Sports Medicine that garments engineered to meet DuPont Lycra Power® Compression Shorts standards ensure a competitive edge.  Research at Ball State concluded:  Through various mechanisms, these findings may translate into an effect on athletic performance and reduction of injury.  Pilot studies show Goode Wraps Power Compression Shorts with  external application of semiconductors may have a 5% additional positive effect on motor performance (kicking a foot ball and standing high jump).

We have had only one person tell us he re-injured himself while wearing our shorts, he was a sprinter who pulled a quadriceps muscle, and he told us the story while ordering another pair.

Time to Abandon the "Tendonitis" Myth

By K M Khan, assistant professor.
Department of Family Practice, University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada V6T 1Z3

Tendonitis such as that of the Achilles, lateral elbow, and rotator cuff tendons is a common presentation to family practitioners and various medical specialists.

Most currently practicing general practitioners were taught, and many still believe, that patients who present with overuse tendonitis have a largely inflammatory condition and will benefit from anti-inflammatory medication.

Unfortunately this dogma is deeply entrenched.

Ten of 11 readily available sports medicine texts specifically recommend non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs for treating painful conditions like Achilles and patellar tendonitis despite the lack of a biological rationale or clinical evidence for this approach.

Instead of adhering to the myths above, physicians should acknowledge that painful overuse tendon conditions have a non-inflammatory cause.

A critical review of the role of various anti-inflammatory medications in soft tissue conditions found limited evidence of short term pain relief and no evidence of their effectiveness in providing even medium term clinical resolution of clearly diagnosed tendon disorders.

Laboratory studies have not shown a therapeutic role for these medications. Steroid injections provide mixed results in relieving the pain of tendon problems.

If general practitioners, orthopedic surgeons, and other members of the healthcare professions treating tendon disorders made a quantum shift from previous flawed teaching about overuse tendonitis and adopted these data there would be immediate ramifications.

Long Sleeve Power Compression Shirt - Designed for Quarterbacks and Pitchers that also have elbow or biceps injuries.

We have a new product, a Long Sleeve Power Compression Shirt, for Football Quarterbacks and Baseball Pitchers. This shirt was designed by a quarterback who had suffered a shoulder injury and a sore elbow two weeks before a bowl game.  Wearing our long sleeve shirt, he was forced into the bowl game in the 4th quarter when the starting quarterback was hurt.   He did not have a chance to warm-up but eventually threw the winning touchdown.  He told us after the game,  "I went running into the game knowing we were behind and I would have to throw.  I had been standing on the sideline all night but my muscles felt relaxed."

The shirt has the same pattern as the short sleeve shirts except for an additional pattern over the biceps and the elbow on both arms.
