Knee Bursitis - Shoulder Bursitis -  Ankle Bursitis Treatment

bursitis knee, bursitis shoulder bursisitis, ankle, bursitis back, fluid pain, tendinitis, knee hurts, knee">

Wesley A. T., Retired
"I have been very pleased with the knee wrap.  I had developed a full and very painful bursitis of the knee.  It had developed pocket of fluid that was very uncomfortable and frightening.  I had gone to two sports medical doctors for opinions. One felt strongly that if I fell on it and ruptured it that I would have serious problems. The other suggested that when I wanted to do something about it to have surgery. Both recommended surgery and both felt that surgery may not permanently solve the problemm.

I tried your knee wrap for about a month. I noticed the fluid gradually going away completely, it is hardly noticeable. More importantly it no longer feels as though it is an over stretched balloon and about to rupture. And of course the discomfort in gone. I am convinced that your wrap was the butsitis problem solvere."

A proposed hypothesis: there is no such thing as shoulder tendonitis or bursitis. Or, if they do exist, they are like midshirt.jpg (9675 bytes)Baptist nuns: theoretically possible, but extraordinarily scarce.  Tendonitis and bursitis are, by definition, inflammations. Massage therapy should not be able to resolve them. In fact, massage therapy of inflamed tissue is contraindicated; it ought to make them worse.

One Doctor’s Opinion.   However, if you suffer from tendonitis or bursitis try a Goode Wrap.  We guarantee you will be pleased. Check the research and testimonials.  Goode Wraps relax muscles.

"As you’ve probably already seen I’m recovering from a reconstruction of both knees I’ve found a great product that has eliminated my knee pain. They do have University Research reports on-line, but being an engineer I figured I’d do my own research. I used the wrap for bursitis on my right knee and left my left knee as the control group. I’ve been doing this for a little over a week and my right knee feels dramatically better (no more stiffness in the morning, or pain when I sit for long periods). The result of my extensive research: I’m going to get another wrap for my other knee.

SHOULDER BURSITIS PAIN

The Center for Spine will strongly encourage the shoulder bursitis pain sufferer to continue with a back or neck exercise program - for the rest of their life. That's because once a person has a back pain attack, he or she is four times as likely to have a recurrence. Being a past victim of back pain, the individual needs to work extra hard to prevent future recurrences. Goode Wraps relieve pain, swelling and stiffness by relaxing muscles and tendons.

Email received from Linda  6/9/02:

I have been having a lot of pain in my left knee for the past 3 weeks so I went to the Dr. I was diagnosed with a torn meniscus and as a result of the torn ligament, I now have water on the knee and bursitis. I received the Goode knee wrap today and immediately put it on. I couldn't believe how comfortable it was. The amazing part is that I noticed within   an hour, my knee felt better than it has for weeks. I'm able to walk much more comfortably and will have no problem wearing the wrap for as long as I want to wear it without it pinching or being uncomfortable. I don't know how the wrap has done it, but it's significantly reduced the pain in my knee and I'm able to walk with just minor discomfort. Just yesterday, I was
almost unable to walk at all!!!!!!!
Sincerely,

Debbie (see Osteoarthritis Pain Study)

Just a quick note to let you know how much I have appreciated the use of the sleep shirt. When I got the shirt from you I was having what I would call severe bursitis pain across my shoulder blades that radiated all across my back and upper shoulders. When I would sit down at my desk or computer at work it would just aggravate it. I was taking Naproxen and alternating with Tylenol and Advil just to get some relief. When it hurts this bad I usually go to my massage therapist but I just didn’t have the time so when you offered the shirt I was ready to try anything. I will have to admit I was rather skeptical because I had been in you study and received the placebo patches and therefore had no relief from this product.

Surprisingly I slept very sound the first night. I usually toss and turn quite a bit during the night and end up on my stomach. I do not think I moved all night - woke up and had no back pain and felt quite refreshed for a good nights sleep. I was tempted to wear it to work because I thought it would help while there but didn’t because the shirt is quite thick and would show through my clothes. After I was there I wished I had - it did tighten up and was sore. I wore the shirt 4 nights in a row and very glad for it - by the fifth day I had stopped having the tightness and pain and not taking anymore pain relievers during the day. I’m not sure how the shirt works bit I did receive considerable relief while using it.

Knee Bursitis - Tendinitis

One of the big differences between the effects of Bursitis (that is, tendinitis of the patella--the kneecap), and chondromalacia is that bursitis sufferers are much better able to locate the pain. Whereas people with chondromalacia may rub their fingers up, down, and around the knee to indicate where it hurts, when you have tendinitis you can put a fingertip right on the spot. It's so tiny and specific that you can put the tip of a ballpoint pen right on the spot and just about levitate yourself into the air with pain. And that spot is right at the bottom of the kneecap, where the tendon that goes on to connect to the shinbone begins--hence the name, patellar tendinitis. It's also called jumper's knee, as it was first described in the takeoff leg of high jumpers. But it turns out that basketball players probably have more jumper's knee than anybody else. You also see it in dancers, runners (and it's very hard to deal with in runners, for some reason), volleyball players--anyone who runs and jumps regularly may suffer from it. And, like chondromalacia, it sneaks up on you, first hurting after your activity, then toward the end of the activity, then during, at the beginning, and finally all the time. It's not nearly as common as chondromalacia-nothing is--but it's more difficult to deal with. It's probably the second most frequent knee injury.
